Happy Wednesday!  This week America turns 239 years old on Saturday.  I remember when I was 9 and the country was celebrating its Bi-Centennial.  It was a huge event and that summer we went to Boston to visit my Grandmother and the city was decorated in the colors of red, white and blue. I even remember being fascinated with the fire hydrants that were even painted to reflect our country’s history.  The best was the train that went from city to city.  Our neighbor Mr. Mitchell took us to the train which was rich with America’s first 200 years of history.  The conversation between the kids was how old we would be when the train came around when the United States turned 300.  I’m not sure if I will live to 109 but we do want to celebrate this great country.  Do we have issues and problems?  Yes of course we do and we have a long way to go but we are resilient and most importantly our freedom.  Click on the photo for a quick video of inspirational freedom quotes from very influential leaders of the past!
