The past two days my heart has just been overflowing with Gratitude.  I dubbed 2013 as the “year of you”.  It is the year to concentrate on your goals, dreams and becoming a better person.  I vowed that this would be the year that I would make realistic goals instead of resolutions.  I wanted to be sure that I could reach the goals or at least come very close to achieving them.  One of the first things I did was to update my Vision Board and I hung it on the door that leads to the garage so that everyday I would be able to see it.

Well halfway into the year I realized that so many great things have happened and my heart just overflowed with gratitude.  I realized that I am at my Size Healthy and in really good shape.  I am writing books and have a contract so my dream of becoming a published author is in the works.  I have paid down and off some bills as well as increased more money to my disposable income and I am working with an awesome coach to brand myself.  Life is looking up and I just can’t help but feel so thankful.

Gratitude is what I want you to feel in your life whether things are going good or even if you are going through a rough patch.  My life is in no way perfect and I have a couple of storms that are passing but as they are swirling around in your life it is a good time to sit and evaluate what has happened the first six months of your life.  Take a piece of paper and create two columns.  One side is marked “Great Things Happening” and the other marked “Swirling Storms”  List what is happening that is good and then list the storms that are currently being felt in your life.

Next after you have completed the list go over each item and show your gratitude for every item including the storms.  Remember storms are temporary but lead to solutions to issues in your life as well as to the light you are looking for in your life.  They will also help you to define your true purpose in life.  Storms have led me to becoming a motivational and life coach.

So today take time to look over the first six months of 2013 and be grateful for what you have accomplished and give thanks for the storms because they will bring something good in the future.  The inspiration for today is to just show gratitude and reflect on how far you have come to achieving your goals and keep pushing towards your dreams.
